Browning X-Bolt 2 Speed Carbon Fiber for sale
Overview
X-Bolt Speed models have a well-earned reputation as reliable, straight-shooting hunting rifles. These rifles stand-out from other guns — both in terms of performance and looks — with a barreled action protected by a durable Cerakote finish, camouflage on the lightweight composite stock, and a fluted, sporter weight precision barrel. But a rifle doesn’t become a legend by looking good. Fortunately, the awesome appearance of the Speed rifle was more than ably backed-up by its tack driving performance.
Built for the hunter that wants every advantage, the new X-Bolt 2 Speed Carbon Fiber is a rifle that holds nothing back in search of tack-driving accuracy. Most noticeable is the addition of the carbon fiber wrapped barrel from Preferred Barrels.
Extensive research and testing of Preferred Barrels products has ensured their quality levels and accuracy. Each barrel begins as a blank that is precision bored and button rifled before being stress relieved. The barrels use a stronger, stiffer carbon fiber wrapping process rather than simple carbon fiber sleeve or tube construction like less expensive designs that offer the carbon fiber look without the functional benefits of the wrapping process. Barrels come in standard lengths that vary by caliber. The Speed Carbon Fiber includes a Recoil Hawg muzzle brake and thread protector cap. The action is bedded and the barrel is free floated for consistent accuracy.
The Cerakote Tungsten finish is applied to the redesigned action and barrel for metal protection that exceeds traditional bluing or stainless steel. The DLX Trigger is a three-lever design that offers zero creep, zero take-up, and zero overtravel performance and comes preset from the factory at 3.5 pounds. (Adjustable down to 3.0 pounds.)
The lightweight Vari-Tech composite stock features 3-way adjustment, the concealment of Browning OVIX for excellent concealment in a variety of terrain and environments, and the new, thicker Inflex recoil pad.
With the Vari-Tech stock, Browning has a configurable stock with adjustment that is on par with many chassis-style stocks. Adjustments can be easily made to the comb height to dial-in the alignment between your eye and optics. Length of pull is adjusted internally with spacers for a solid, rattle-free feel. Even the grip angle can be changed by switching between the sporter and vertical grip modules. On the subject of grip, rubber overmolding on the gripping surfaces provides added security in all conditions.
When hunting, fractions of a second can determine success or failure. When fit to your dimensions, the Vari-Tech stock creates a rifle that feels like an extension of your body so you can get an accurate first shot off sooner and have faster, more accurate follow up shots.
